The San Diego python community organized a Django workshop for python programmers and I was a speaker and also on the organizing committee. The event was a full day event and was held at BrightScope (The startup that I work for)

It was a very nice experience speaking to an audience and I learned a lot working with Restructured text, Django, learned a few git and vim tricks.
