Elastic Search SF – January

I have been working on a few interesting projects on Elastic search at Path. A lot of thought goes into the configuration of elastic search nodes and this meetup was extremely helpful in identifying the optimal architecture for a growing data set.

1. Chris Pomeroy gave a talk on using Elastic search on Google computer engine.

2. Antoine gave a talk on using Kibana 4 and the shield plugin.

3. Boaz Leskes, an Elastic search core developer, gave a talk on scalability. A very interesting and informative talk on identifying the number of shards, replicas, shard size, system config etc.

I ll also be attending ElasticON, the first elastic search conference at San Francisco.
